2012 Hydric Soil Workshop

This is a full day workshop that includes approximately 4 hours of lectures and 4 hours of field identification of hydric soil indicators and indicators of seasonal high water. Lectures will cover general soil fundamentals, soil formation, soil morphologies, the relationship between soils, landscape, and hydrology, hydric soil indicators, and indicators of seasonal high water. The field exercises will facilitate hands on activities, reinforce the lecture material, and give participants the opportunity to ask questions and discuss soils in small groups with leading soils and wetland experts.
