Field 3 at the 2005 State Land Judging Contest hosted by the Indian River Soil and Water Conservation District. Pomello series. Somewhat poorly drained. (Because the depth of the pit was held to 42 inches for safety reasons, the spodic horizon was not well exposed and did not figure into the soil order designation for contest purposes; the soil was deemed an Entisol on the official scorecard.)
